Our free-diving photography retreats are here, with the subject of this trip being the Giant Cuttlefish of Whyalla, South Australia. If you’ve ever wanted to try underwater photography, but haven’t known where to start, we couldn’t think of a better creature to kick things off! Swim and photography the Giant Cuttlefish on the Eyre Peninsula during their yearly mating aggregation, good thing they don’t mind being watched. Head to the cold, but shallow waters, with us for this photographers dream and learn from some of the best in underwater photography.
These retreats are designed for you to maximise your learning and confidence, with small groups led by our three leaders, and only 12 spots available in total!
Inclusions in Cost:
– 2 nights bayside accommodation in Deluxe Cabins
– Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast/lunch/dinner, Sunday breakfast
– Return transport from the Adelaide airport to Whyalla, to and from transport form the dive site
– Professional Introduction to Photography Presentation (GoPro, Mobile Phone, Camera)
– Professional Introduction to Editing Underwater Imagery (GoPro, Mobile Phone, Camera)
– Weights for your weight-belt to save on baggage
For this trip, we’ll be offering hire options for all freediving equipment, and various housed camera options (limited) additionally we are an affiliate for AxisGo and Aquatech Imaging Solutions for a 10% discount on any equipment your are wanting to purchase.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or an advanced freediver, we know there’s something for everyone to learn on this weekend!

Itinerary
The itinerary is approximate and will be adjusted to suit tide times and the weather.
Day 1 – Friday, June 23rd
12pm: Meet at the Adelaide Airport for group departure (please book your flights to arrive prior to 12pm)
4pm: Arrive at Whyalla, Check in to Discovery Holiday Park
Welcome dinner and drinks to get to know one another and talk about how the weekend will go ahead

Cancellation Policy
If for any reason you need to cancel, you are required to let us know 30 days prior to the start of the retreat. By doing so your cost is fully transferable to another retreat or course offered by Underwater Culture.
If you cancel within 30 days before the trip start date, we cannot refund/transfer your deposit. You are able to transfer your ticket onto someone else.
Please note we are not responsible for any expenses incurred outside of our trip package (additional food/drinks, flights to and from Adelaide, travel insurance, etc.)
